Mandarin CastaƱas: Get 'em Hot in Quiapo

Alam mong pasko na sa Maynila, amoy castanas na! Woot! Woot!

Roasted chestnuts going round and round... it's definitely Christmas time!

Just watching the castaƱas spin around is actually quite hypnotic, I usually buy them in Quiapo at the fruitstand area of the palengke near Villalobos street. And on weekends at the Legaspi Sunday Market.

Christmas in Kamuning

'Tis Christmas in Kamuning when the Barangay Captain gets the yearly Santa out of storage and into the streets.

Like everything pinoy, anything pricey should remain wrapped in plastic.

Reminds me of my Aunt Cely who still has her sofa wrapped in plastic for the last 15 years. To keep it clean, fresh and dust-free since the day it was bought.  Weh!
